This is an interesting development: tattoo artists are now guesting at retail events. First, we found out that denim shop Earnest Sewn tattoo artist Scott Campbell on Mother's Day. (Campbell will offer MePa shoppers $100 mom tattoos.) And now, a release has just landed in the Racked Inbox announcing that "tattoo artist to the stars" Friday Jones will be appearing at in Chelsea on May 15th. You have to for a night of "cocktails, consultations and live model portfolio presentations of Friday Jones' Work." Apparently, Friday will be a regular guest at the salon, as she writes on her MySpace blog that her partnership with Xac, a "grand experiment combining couture tattoo with an elegant spa experience," began this month. Go in for a blow out, leave with a sleeve.
